SCO - Sebring 12h - 30/10/21

GT: Chris Barrott, James Ibram, AJ Lawal

When organised by median pace over the whole race, ATR LMP are second to last of the 20 teams. However, a lot of this is masked by us not completing the last part of the race - essentially our average track temp was higher, making our pace look worse than it was. A stint by stint comparison (later) shows a better picture. Consistency was ok, similar to that of mid-pack teams, but behind that of the top 5.

In terms of average pace over all stints driven, AJ was strongest (01:46:700), followed by Chris (1:47:200), then James (1:48:000). However, this does not take into account the significant impact of track temperature, especially on AJs cooler stint at the end of the race. Flick through the graphics with the arrow at the top to view each of our stint times, compared to all other LMP drivers at the time. Chris and AJ are similar to the average pace of the field, while James struggles.

The cumulative lap time graph is interesting. Try isolating ATR LMP and comparing our time to other teams. We show stints where there is very promising pace, in fact - in the stint before the crash - we lose no time at all to the race leader. This chart also reveals the time lost to others in strategy - a lot of our deficit in the first few hours comes from doubling rather than tripling the tyres. We were definitely on the cusp of the top 10, had we finished the race.
